Appleby Blue Wins 2025 RIBA London Award

Our acclaimed project, designed by Witherford Watson Mann architects and delivered for United St Saviour's Charity has earnt the illustrious 2025 RIBA London Award.
The project, designed is a testament to innovative design and community-centred care for later living. This sentiment was echoed by the jury's comments:
"The architects were aware that one of the biggest challenges of growing older is increased isolation. The design attempts to remedy this by creating spaces that encourage chance meetings, places to chat with friends or sit together with a glass of wine and watch the world go by. The bulk, massing and materiality of the building offer a contemporary but appropriate response to the context."
We are incredibly proud of the revolutionary approach to older people's care embodied in Appleby Blue and want to thank RIBA for this recognition and everyone involved in the project.
