The first Almshouse to be built in Southwark for decades and will help meet the shortage of social housing specifically designed for older people.

Appleby Blue, Southwark Park Road, is JTRE London’s second scheme is the location for a new United St Saviour’s Charity development. Designed by Witherford Watson Mann Architects to be an Almshouse for the 21st century, the development consists of 57 homes, gardens and community space.

The first Almshouse to be built in Southwark for decades and will help meet the shortage of social housing specifically designed for older people. It will provide genuinely low cost extra-care sheltered homes for around 90 Southwark residents, enabling them to grow older and to stay part of their community.
